Your Role and Responsibilities
Do you want to lead HR transformation projects? Do you have experience managing technology projects and programs? The HR Transformation and Operations team is looking for an experienced project manager who will successfully facilitate key strategic projects for a complex global HR Talent technology program.
The HR Transformation and Operations team is creating a Project Management Office staffed with project managers who are responsible for an array of activities, including initializing and planning projects, tracking and reporting project deliverables, managing to a realistic scope, enabling transformation through technology innovation and applying project management processes and tools to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services and/or solutions which will meet client requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities include:
Project managing multiple, concurrent, strategic integration projects supporting IBMs global transformation program, as well as emerging cognitive HR technologies.
Define strategic objectives for the program and obtain stakeholder commitment and support to achieve them.
Proven leadership demonstrating active stakeholder management to enable individual project success as well as overall program aligns to the HRs strategic direction. Managing stakeholder expectations, including conflicting priorities, dependency management, risk management, and most important, change management.
Owning the tracking and facilitation of the overall program, by using common tools, templates and processes so that all HR T&O projects are managed in a consistent manner.
Maintaining overall program documentation, including tracking key decisions.
Monitors and drives globally dispersed teams to adhere within the schedule and scope of the projects and overall program objectives.
Provide project status updates to both the teams and to IBM executives, crafting the message as necessary for the specific audience needs and desires.
Monitors financial and resource allocations to confirm the projects within the program are on track.
Tracking milestones for multiple and various workstreams to have a consolidated view of all the major milestone dates associated with complex projects and the overall program.
Able to network and build relationships to ensure global team is working effectively together to deliver results on time and within scope (resources, costs, expectations).
Proven track record of successful project and program implementation.
Ability to THINK sometimes outside of the box - and to bring solutions to the table.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Available to travel up to 25%, including international travel.


Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Fluent in English
  • Significant experience in Project Management with proven examples of delivery and project scale
  • Experience in Programme Management
