Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Manage the status reporting requirements of programmes and associated project portfolios
  • Manage programme and project risks
  • Manage programme and project issues
  • Manage programme and project approvals and change control
  • Manage programme and project budgets
  • Complete programme and project audits as required
  • To provide programme and project support
  • To manage programmes and projects on time and to an agreed budget
  • To participate as a thought leader within the IBM security community
  • Developing, maintaining and embedding a framework for effective project delivery for projects using MSP / APM / PMI / AIM / Change First / 6 Sigma tools, techniques & methodologies as appropriate,Applying the relevant level of project management methodology
  • Benefit Management responsible for the proactive management & enablement of project benefits and maintaining these benefits post project closure
  • Budget Management responsible for rigorous financial tracking of project finances and associated benefits, reporting financial status to key stakeholders
  • Post Implementation Review (PIR) and Continuous Improvement - ensuring that effective post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives take place
  • Engaging project stakeholders at all levels
  • Coordinating and leading project communication
  • Actively managing changes to project scope
  • Actively identifying and managing issues and risks
  • Producing clear and accurate documentation
  • Ability to translate business objectives & requirements into a coherent delivery plan
  • Build credibility and trust - adhere to Assurant values and high ethical standards of behavior by demonstrating respect, honesty, consistency and fairness when interacting with colleagues, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience of working in a programme or project manager role
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential issues in an appropriate manner
  • Experience in delivering projects
  • Experience in delivering security based projects
  • Manage a minimum of 4 projects with a least one project with over 20 full time employees
  • 3 examples of program management
  • Experienced at CISO level Reporting
  • The role holder must either hold or be prepared to undergo a UK security clearance
  • Proven track record of leading large scale and complex change delivery projects, and successfully embedding 1st, 2nd and 3rd order change benefits in a large IT/Security environment
  • Focus on customers - identifies and meets the needs of customers by building productive customer relationships and providing value in ways that increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ability to lead cross geography teams, across organizational units.

  • Microsoft Office and Project
  • PRINCE2 (Foundation), PMP, CDT Project Management Methodology, or other Project Methodology
  • Knowledge and understanding of IBM security product and services portfolio
  • In-depth knowledge of current market place security issues
  • Knowledge of current market place security strategies
  • Knowledge of security organizational structures
  • Analysing problems and making decisions - commits to a course of action after identifying and assessing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, resources, constraints and organizational values.
  • Demonstrate resilience - reacts positively to changes and maintains poise, focus and flexibility when encountering difficulties or obstacles.
  • Learn continuously - actively seeks out and takes advantage of various ways to quickly gain new skills and expand ones knowledge.
