Description

The Project Manager (Mergers & Acquisitions) will be responsible for supporting the Director of Project Management in coordinating with various teams across the organization to manage, implement and monitor firm wide projects. The Project Manager (Mergers& Acquisitions) will be responsible for managing projects from inception to after go-live. In this role, the primary responsibility will be managing the firm’s mergers & acquisitions from diligence through integration.

The Project Manager (Mergers & Acquisitions) will need to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and external parties to ensure significant initiatives are coordinated across teams and downstream and upstream impacts are thoughtfully considered.

Strong organization skills, communication skills, influencing skills, change management, business acumen, managing multiple priorities and experience with mergers & acquisitions is required.

The role will report to the Director of Project Management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single point of contact liaising between our internal deal team and the Target.
  • Responsible for managing the due diligence from start to finish. The primary responsibility would be ensuring the team (across operations and applicable service lines) meets the deal timeline and submits their diligence report to you for aggregating one executive diligence report that is submitted to the deal sponsor.
  • Responsible for managing the integration process from start to finish. The primary responsibility would be ensuring the team (across operations and applicable service lines) meets the timelines and submits their integration roadmap to you for aggregating one integration plan that is submitted to the deal sponsor.
  • Create and manage the deal project plan and key dates related to the transaction, such as diligence requests and submissions, key meetings with the target, and deal dates around submitting offer letters, etc.
  • Set up and run the deal calls with the deal team; set agenda, send minutes, and follow up on open items.
  • Raise issues and risks to the deal sponsor, as reported by the internal deal team.
  • Provide status updates to the deal sponsor.
  • Manage the data room.
  • Monitor all deal processes and provide recommendation for improvements, if required.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, with 5+ years’ work experience, 1-3 of that in M&A.
  • Understanding of accounting firm business models and operations.
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven.
  • Exceptional in business, excel and other technology tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; manage multiple projects and deadlines.
