Project Manager - Life Sciences/Medical Device

Job Purpose: Serves as project manager for multiple projects ensuring adherence to deadlines, budget, client requirements and the needs of both internal and external stakeholders Principal


Essential Duties:

• Develops project management plans, schedules and budgets for existing projects and new projects

• Performs analyses of project requirements and risk analysis

• Maintains, tracks, and reports project and system metrics, and recommends adjustments where needed

• Plans and evaluates resource usage and budget forecasting then advises on adjustments or changes as needed

• Maintains effective communication with all internal and external project stakeholders

• As required, may serve as Team Lead for Field Trials of various ChemImage technologies, coordinating test site logistics, test plans and off-site testing

• Expected to manage 1 to 3 projects simultaneously Knowledge,


Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills; strong relationship building skills

• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

• Knowledge of computers to operate effectively with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications



Experience/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field required

• CAPM or PMP certification highly preferred

• Three (3) years directly related and progressively responsible experience required

• Seven (7) years working in product development environment preferred

• Extensive experience in the field may be substituted for education requirements

• Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Project is highly desirable

• Must be willing to apply for and gain Government Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)


Working Conditions/ Physical Demands: Sedentary physical activity requiring reaching, sifting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing. Frequently required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile). Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. 50% or more time is spent looking directly at a computer. Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise. Domestic and foreign travel required about 20% of time. Work setting is primarily office based but conditions may involve limited exposure to chemicals, emitted radiation, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances when in a laboratory environment.
