Responsible for planning, managing and delivering Procurement Services projects and initiatives. Including but not limited to, project management, planning and scheduling, scope initiatives, and budget allocations, as it applies to the Corporate project management methodologies (which are aligned with the PMI’s PMBoK) to plan, design, organize, execute, control and report on projects; manages and oversees the activities of project teams, which may include City staff and external resources. Projects will consist primarily of initiatives to transform Procurement activities by improving business practices, resulting in changes to service delivery models, business processes, technology, data management, activity reporting, KPI and performance metrics, policies and procedures, and staff roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Successful completion of a University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Sciences, Business Administration or Public Administration, or demonstration of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience managing projects, including project initiation, planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and human resource management.
  • A valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.

The following are considered an asset when applying to this position:

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), or demonstrated experience managing complex projects in accordance with Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBoK) principles.
  • Certified in organizational change management, such as ADKAR Prosci.
  • Certification in Asset Management through the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA), or equivalent.
  • GIS Professional certified through the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) or equivalent.
  • Data Management Professional certified through the Data Management Association (DAMA) or equivalent.
  • Certified in Business Analysis

Salary Details

$98,108.00 - $116,793.00/Year
