Project Manager

Responsible for employing contemporary project management methods and techniques to ensure successful completion of operational, technological (including system upgrades or implementations) and construction related projects. Projects can vary from small, short term projects through large, enterprise level projects across functional areas. Responsible for producing or managing the production of the entire portfolio of project deliverables, including project timelines, budget, task, and issue tracking, etc. Will engage clients and functional peer groups in information gathering/research, issue identification and management, and change management/acceptance.
• Works with project teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain project plans, which includes planning and conducting project kickoff meetings, defining project scope, facilitating technical/operational requirements identification, developing detailed project plans, project budget or anticipated savings, and establishing a framework for the management of on-going project activities.
• Manages the project management process, including leading project meetings.
• Oversees project activities such as documenting issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings.
• Identifies and tracks project issues, resolving issues where possible or escalating to higher management when needed.
• Leads procurement process with key team members; provides documentation and verification of workflows.
• Handles project administrative duties, interfaces with Executive Sponsor(s).
• Ensures that projects stay on track and meet designated timelines and budget constraints.
• Partners with stakeholders and project team members to drive communications and change management activities for each project deliverable.
• Keeps the COO fully informed regarding project progress and barriers that could impede success.
• Coordinates sub-contractors and in-house facilities.
• Understands the grant funding process and need for detail and adherence to deadline.
• Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establishes and maintains relationship with third parties/vendors.
• Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
• Additional duties as assigned.


• Good communicator (orally, and in writing) with professional attitude in order to promote good relations with management, clinicians, and staff.
• Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Must be able to cope with pressure and stress on the job and coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to facilitate project planning meetings to articulate project components and deliverables with high level audiences.
• Team leadership—ability to keep team focused and on task; holds team members accountable when necessary; multi-tasker, delegator.
• Experience with project management software
• Working knowledge of procurement software
• Minimum four-year degree and/or equivalent professional-level education and experience.
• Project management certification (i.e., CAPM, CPMP, PRINCE II, CPM, MPM, PPM, etc.)
• experience in medical clinic or related health care field preferred.
