Our State Government Practice Group is looking for a Project Manager (Senior Consultant) to join our project team working on a multi-year, full-time Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) engagement for the Commonwealth of Kentucky for their Integrated Tax System (ITS) implementation project. You will bring your experience with government system implementations and/or project oversight to help our IV&V Manager identify project risks/issues as they arise, and help formulate recommendations for addressing them.

Travel expectation: "Although the Commonwealth of Kentucky ITS project is currently operating in a completely remote environment at this time, should conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic improve then the expectation will be for this position to be located full-time in the Commonwealth's offices located in Frankfort, KY."

Requirements

You will:

Attend and take extensive notes on numerous and varying project meetings, in order to assist with risk/issue identification
Review and analyze project artifacts and deliverables, in order to assist with risk/issue identification
Work to identify project risks/issues and formulate recommendations for addressing them
Contribute to and/or draft IV&V status reports
Present findings to the project team and/or executive leadership bodies

You have:

Bachelor's degree
4+ years of system implementation and/or project oversight experience
Ability to use problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to identify project risks/issues and provide recommendations to address them
Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with diverse teams
Ability to communicate project risks/issues, and recommendations for addressing them, in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to draft IV&V status reports and client communications in a professional and positive/constructive manner
Tax/accounting knowledge and/or experience (preferred)
"Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI preferred OR we would accept the right candidate with 4,500 hours or more Project Management experience and a willingness to sit for the PMP exam in your first 6 months."
"Scrum and/or Agile certification a plus."
