JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
TriNet is looking for a veteran project manager with experience overseeing projects through the entire lifecycle of large scale of process improvement implementations (technology platform rollout/configuration, operational streamlining, etc). He or she is the leader of assigned projects and works with cross functional resources to deliver on goals. The project manager must demonstrate a track record of succeeding in fast paced environments with adaptability to fluid priorities. 

He/she will leverage project management tools and best practices to help develop a culture of project management thinking throughout the organization. A key result of successful project management be creating visibility into the lifecycle of assigned projects so that management and contributing resources can understand how tasks/projects fit together and impact one another. 
This project manager’s expertise will contribute to the newly created SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act) department with its own dedicated project management team. He or she will report to the SOX Program Manager and will play a critical role in building the department’s infrastructure and effectiveness. This newly created role is for a thoughtful candidate who can apply past experiences to implementing lean, effective project management methods right-sized for the needs of the department’s goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project manager responsibilities include the ownership of the following:
o Creation of a project work break down structure and forecasting task timings.
o Coordination of SOX design implementation, remediation and Audit testing. Contribute to project management dashboards to show progress against milestones 
o Resolution of any issues and solve problems throughout the project lifecycle.
o Development and maintenance of project lifecycle collateral: charter, RACIs, Risk Matrices, etc. 
o Presentation of project statuses through major tollgates, including post mortems and lessons learned, for project teams and senior leadership.
o Monitoring of project scope and ensure changes do not jeopardize existing project timelines and follow change structures
o Delivery of projects on time and within budget.
o Coordination external resources / consultants on projects
o all programs / projects have the necessary skills and experience to deliver the required change;
o projects adhere to the overall program scope and plan;
o project managers maintain all key project documents,
o risks and issues are appropriately and timely escalated;
o each project has appropriate change management/user adoption
• Manage multiple large scale and complex projects with various resources assigned both within IT and the business.
• Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members regarding project efforts.
• Own project related announcements and communications according to assigned projects with the assistance of Knowledge/Communications Manager
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key Business and IT Stakeholders and Business and IT PMs; periodic feedback/reviews
• Contribute solution recommendations that align to near- and/or long-term strategic plans and roadmaps
• Develop and articulate solution alternatives and employ data-based recommendations and influence decision makers to ensure business outcomes will be achieved
• Implement effective and innovative project management practices including ServiceNow/PPS for Project and Management Reporting, project plan templates, Deliverables Tracking, Estimate to Complete Tracking, Change Management, Issues and Risk Management, and Project and Steering team meeting standards on owned projects.
• Serve as the first escalation point and actively drive issues and risks to closure
• Maintain Industry-wide and/or best practices through research and community memberships
• Contribute to the Development and implementation of improved processes, methods and tools to continually improve software analysis, project management, and delivery 
• Demonstrated high-quality, high velocity, measurable project execution expertise
• Provide hands-on issue resolution alternatives and takes ownership of assigned deliverables
• Contribute to business reviews to ensure solutions and projects deliver the expected business outcomes while continuing to raise the bar on quality standards and best practices for solution development
• Apply best practice program / project management techniques and tools to achieve desired outcomes within budget and timeframe.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BS/BA/BBA degree in Management, Finance, Accounting or other relevant degree required; PMP certification preferred.

Experience: 
• 5+ years of applicable experience as a Project Manager; or equivalent work experience PMP
• Experience managing cross functional projects enterprise wide 
• Possesses/exhibits versatility with full lifecycle Project Management approach, including business analytics
• Experience with presenting to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and large teams. 
• Strong analytical, metrics tracking/reporting, presentation and organizational skills
• Experience managing multiple Finance / IT projects with strong business level focus
• Experience driving a culture of project management best practices
• Previous project management experience with Finance or SOX/Audit areas a major plus.
• Six Sigma experience is a plus

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong collaboration skills. Works well in a team environment where team members may be distributed (not co-located).
• Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints 
• Excellent multi-tasking skills - concurrent work streams and tasks
• Excellent senior executive and team-level presentation, verbal and written communication, and facilitation skills; Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization; Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage people resources, without direct supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Tools
• Flexible Work Schedule (due to coverage required for entire US)
• 20 – 30% Travel (US Only)
