Project Manager

 

The BC-CfE is a unique, innovative health clinic comprised of a multidisciplinary clinical team focused on providing comprehensive primary and special care for clients in the Downtown Eastside.  The high-quality care provided will focus on prevention and treatment, with a special emphasis on HIV/AIDS, HCV and Knowledge Translation and is supported and enhanced by ongoing research and innovation.

 

The BC-CfE has a one year, temporary fulltime position available for a Project Manager.   In this position, you will lead and co-ordinate all aspects of the assigned project and you will ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget as identified in the project plan.  Additionally, you will identify and track metrics as they relate to project deliverables, and provide consultation, guidance and support to staff, contractors and others as identified by the Director.

 

Duties of the position include: establishing detailed project charter, plans, objectives, timelines and deliverables; ensuring successful and coordinated completion of project components; consulting with senior team leads and ensuring readiness for project implementation; tracking project progress according to project plan and identified metrics; monitoring and reporting on the status of project and major barriers encountered; making recommendations regarding the project and related changes required; implementing effective processes to assess project risks; contributing to the development and monitoring of the project budgets; and providing advice and guidance in situations that require interpretation and judgment.

Requirements include a Master's degree in health administration or other relevant clinical discipline, Planning or Business Administration and a minimum of seven (7) years of recent, health care project management experience.  In-depth knowledge and exceptional project management skills required including: the ability to plan, organize, mentor and evaluate projects efficiently and effectively.  Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.

Requirements
