Overall
Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, and performance to purchase contract estimate. Manages project performance across multiple-release customer purchase orders received for projects to verify completion on time and within budget. Also responsible for understanding project schedule. Tracks status of project and prepares reports. Resolves client issues, researches problems, and makes recommendations for potential product enhancements or modifications.

- Realize estimated margin for base contract and change orders by managing and analyzing order elements (i.e., cost, square footage, pieces, pounds of material)
- Enhance margins through strategic change order pricing
Service
- Positive experience with company for customer’s Project Managers and field personnel
- Prompt, accurate communication between company manufacturing team and customer personnel
- Prompt conflict resolution
Financial Impact
- Timing of revenue/margin allocation throughout project lifecycle
- Prompt reconciliation of discrepancies to ensure prompt Accounts Receivable (AR) collection
- Change order sales and margin growth
- Accuracy of backlog
Duties and Responsibilities
Receives requests from Customers via phone, cell phone and email
- Effective Project kick-off coordination among all office, field, and company parties
- Initiates manufacturing process by producing required paperwork and notifying appropriate parties
- Participates in daily scheduling meeting to coordinate efforts of fabrication, logistics and purchasing personnel
- Negotiates appropriate ship dates with customer, Plant Operations Manager, and internal logistics resources
- Controls scope by regularly comparing estimates to actual as built systems
- Monitors cost by comparing sq ft, lbs, labor, and component actual costs incurred to estimated cost for releases and total project
- Identify and negotiate, and communicate change order opportunities with customer and within company
Skills and Experience Required
- Four to seven years of experience in construction project management
- Experience with commercial HVAC products, duct systems a plus
- Reading and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Microsoft Excel
- College degree or relevant experience
