Your Role and Responsibilities

This role requires project management of a team of 20-40 resources to support application development, integration with legacy systems and hosting activities to gather requirements, create design documents, build and test multiple applications and deploy into a production ready environment and provide operations and support for the period of performance of the contract. Support all of IBMs internal project management requirements, for financial forecasting, status reporting, and other IBM project management profession requirements. PMP Certification is required. Additional required skills include:
  • Solid technical foundation in software development (including Apps, Bots) and analytics preferably a degree in engineering of almost any kind, but prefer mechanical, electrical, operations research, or computer
  • Understands the federal procurement and budgeting processes from CPIC through acquisition/contracting
  • Solid foundation in Total cost of ownership, ROI, business case development for technology investments
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to evaluate the technical maturity of an organization, principles of most efficient organization design or fault tolerant process design
  • Typical teaming building, talent assessment skills with larger, federal organizations (like military or large corporate entity or other federal agency)
  • Ideal candidate has one or more of following in work history NASA, DARPA, NSA, Census, USGS, NIH, NSF
  • Range of analytics projects from data viz to AI/ML
  • Experience with high tech object implementation (like drones or robotic manufacturing or remote anything, or satellites, smart phone development, high tech surgery, etc.)

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Core project management skills with at least 10+ years of managing programs with application development and support with annual revenue great than $15 Million.
  • Excellent written and oral skills, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders
