Position Announcement – Project Manager, Next Generation Warning System

Position Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys a challenge and is energized by the prospect of joining a team of colleagues who have a commitment to our civil society and ensuring the safety of the American Public. The Project Manager will support the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) effort, in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to deploy their Next Generation Warning System (NGWS), which will provide a more resilient and secure public alerting system, through the acquisition and implementation of emerging digital broadcast technology, delivered through our nation’s public broadcasting television and radio stations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

Compensation:
The salary for this position will be no less than $65,000 within a salary hiring range up to $87,000. Exact salary based upon experience, education related to the role, CPB compensation structure and internal equity. Annual salary increases and bonus award based on performance against annual objectives and position responsibilities.

Location:
CPB is conveniently located amidst multiple metro stops at 401 Ninth St. NW, Washington, DC. We are a largely local workforce and value employee flexibility, when possible. Currently, most positions are offsite or hybrid, depending on role, as approved by the position’s Department Head.
