Trex Company, the world’s number one decking and railing brand, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is seeking a Project Leader to lead cross-functional teams through the Trex project management process. These projects include, but are not limited to, new product launches, capital equipment installations, operational excellence process improvements and sustaining engineering initiatives.

 

Help us deliver what’s next in outdoor living by working closely with the entire Trex team (R&D, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance) and meeting launch timing and financial objectives.

 

As our next Project Leader, you are a skilled Project Manager or Project Team Leader who possesses strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate managerial courage by candidly and positively handling conflict, viewing it as an opportunity to find common ground and hammer through tough issues.

Project Management

  • Use sound project management tools and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Manage project expenses, including capital expense forecasting and purchase orders with vendors.

Technical

  • Liaise between unit engineers, vendors and contractors for quotation, scheduling, design and installation of equipment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
  • Three-or-more years of diverse experience in a manufacturing environment (Operations, Sourcing, Demand and Supply Planning, Engineering, etc.), with strong business acumen.
  • Experience leading cross-functional business teams and leading through change.
  • Knowledgeable in structured problem solving, budgeting financial measures, inventory and purchasing.
  • Completion of a management development rotation process or demonstrated organizational cross-functional experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or chemical process operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Salary Details

Bonus target of 20-25% paid annually.
