We take great pride in protecting the lives and assets of our customers and their communities with the solutions we provide. **What You Will Do With Our Training And Your Experience** + Issue purchase orders. + Issue Request for Quote (RFQ). + Expedite suppliers. + Support supply chain team by assisting in various clerical tasks such as filing, sending correspondences, investigating alternate suppliers, expediting and or updating computer system. + Properly communicates all requirements, specifications, quality issues, etc. to suppliers in a timely and thorough manner, working closely with Technical Support, Engineering, Project Managers, Service Technicians, Installers, Warehouse, Accounting, Customer Service Representatives and Quality. + Determine and enter key attributes into computer system including, but not limited to, item master maintenance, lead times, cost, primary and secondary suppliers, sourcing rules, reordering policy, unit of measure and category codes. + Under direct supervision, develop, negotiate, and manage suppliers in accordance with company objectives and policy. + Under direct supervision, calculate cost benefits of alternate sources of supply and inventory carrying cost. + Adhere to all corporate authorities relating to purchasing authority and code of conduct. + Coordinate vendor credit transactions as related to return and credit of non-conforming product to suppliers. + Prepare outbound shipments and accepts receipts. + Accurately maintain up-to-date records of quotations. + Communicates certificate of compliance, MSDS and other pertinent correspondence requirements in conjunction with the company's safety standards. + Under direct supervision, effectively attempts to optimize inventory levels through proper planning and purchasing practices. **What You Will Need** + BS/BA in a Supply Chain or Business related discipline. + 2+ years of progressive purchasing experience in distribution or manufacturing environment. + General understanding of supplier contracts and related terms and conditions. + Ability to apply planning principles as they relate to purchased parts and inventory management practices. + Solid written and verbal communication skills. + Motivated, self-starter. + Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite). **Company Benefits And Perks** Convergint fosters a supportive, accessible, and inclusive environment in which individuals of different backgrounds and identities are able to realize their maximum potential within the company.
