Purchasing Coordinator

The Purchasing Coordinator will perform the procurement of material from project booking to turnover. They will work with in-house Convergint colleagues to ensure the proper material is being ordered according to the Bill of Materials or Order Request for both Install and Service. Needs to have the ability to work with Vendors to ensure the correct material is received in the allotted timeframe at the best possible price point. The Purchasing Coordinator must communicate any and all issues pertaining to orders and lead times to Project Managers and Service Coordinators. Must be able to make recommendations for alternative parts or Vendors when needed due to high costs or long lead times. Will handle RMA requests making sure the product is repaired, replaced, or credit issued. Will need to verify invoices match issued purchase orders and correct any discrepancies with the Vendor. The Purchasing Coordinator will need to have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task and handle high pressure situations. Must be a self-starter and have to ability to gain product knowledge.
