This position is responsible for managing projects in the Project Management Office (PMO) at Zaxby’s Franchising, Inc. in Athens, GA. This includes planning, executing and evaluating projects according to established timelines and budgets. The Project Manager will serve as a project leader for Strategic Plan and/or departmental initiatives, will facilitate project meetings and manage project life cycles. The completion of specific projects must ensure consistency with company processes, strategy, commitments and goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage project development from initiation to closure
- Work with project stakeholders to complete project scope documentation that outline objectives, approach, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing
- Provide a project schedule to identify when tasks will be completed
- Communicate clear expectations to team members and stakeholders
- Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports
- Define and manage project budget
- Lead, coach and motivate project team members
- Be accountable for project results along with project sponsor
- Ensure project team achieves the defined business needs
- Apply consistent PMO methodologies and standards to projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a working knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Manage multiple projects, priorities and timelines
- General knowledge of business to determine the most effective means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, processes, systems, and policies
- Strong communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent writing skills and serious attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and support
- Flexibility to adapt/adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Improve PMO services and the overall quality of projects
- Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- PMI Project management certification required (CAPM or PMP)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ project management work experience in similar position
