The company was formed when Avista Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm focused on growth-oriented healthcare businesses, purchased the extended topicals and dermatology portfolio of G&W Laboratories in December 2018. The company is headquartered in South Plainfield, NJ. The site contains a manufacturing facility, an R&D laboratory and offices.

Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a fully integrated generic pharmaceutical company with end-to-end capabilities in Product Development, Manufacturing and Commercial Operations. We sell products to all classes of trade within the US supply chain, including drug wholesalers and distributors, retail chains, food stores, mass merchandisers, mail order pharmacies, acute care and long-term care pharmacies, and retail/acute care GPOs. The current product offering spans a wide range of presentations, with a focus on creams, ointments, liquids/solutions and suppositories. With well-established R&D and Business Development functions, Cosette Pharma is expanding our product offering by bringing new products to market via internal development and external licensing or acquisitions. While staying true to our therapeutic history, Cosette Pharma is expanding into adjacent areas. This will allow Cosette Pharma to leverage our considerable operating and commercial infrastructure, including 200+ dedicated employees across all functional areas.

 

Position Summary

The R&D Technical Project Manager will focus on providing effective and efficient project management support for R&D projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects across technical functions (Product Development. Analytical Research and Development, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, Technical services, Quality control, Quality Assurance, launch team) across multiple phases, different Disease Areas.
  • Assure continuous consistency of the operational plan with project strategy.
  • Generate and maintain the integrated project plan. Drive option development, including risks analyses, risk mitigation plans, contingencies, identification of opportunities, decision tree generation, and identification of activities on the critical path.
  • Ensures execution of all cross-functional project activities.
  • Together with the department head, drive and review project documentation for board meetings according to current guidelines.
  • Build strong alliances with Project Team Members that engender trust. Guide teams through the team development process to become “High Performing Teams” with and without the assistance of facilitators.
  • Serves as neutral facilitator, communicates openly and timely, horizontally and vertically in order to achieve transparency of project progress and lead to resolve conflicts in good faith.
  • Provides Project Management leadership in the areas of strategy, planning, tracking, risk management, plan execution, problem-solving, and decision making in line with project strategy and team goals.
  • Prepares and manages own development plan.
  • Trains others on Project Management topics as needed.
  • Rapid identification and transparent communication of risks as well as competency to resolve project issues are key expectations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced scientific degree (MSc, PharmD, etc.) with a background in other Pharma discipline (Product Development, Analytical, Clinical, Regulatory etc.)
  • Knowledge of disease area advantageous
  • Fluent English (oral and written), other languages are an additional asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and information management skills
  • Relevant professional experience in Pharma or biotech industry and in drug development project management
  • Advanced drug development expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in leading / managing and driving cross-functional teams
  • Experience in matrix and/or direct people management role with demonstrated ability to influence without authority successfully
  • Expert in all aspects of team behaviors; drives conflicts resolution in teams; good ability to modulate style
  • Advanced skill in facilitating/optimizing the contribution of diverse team members as individuals and as a team
  • Capable of quickly gathering high-level understanding of complex technical, medical and scientific issues
  • Demonstrated a global mindset and cultural awareness

 

PMP certification is desirable.

Proven agility in prioritizing and navigating competing demands.

Strong engagement skills.
