    Full Time

Named the top D.C. startup to watchin 2016, 2017, and 2018, Quorum is software built for public affairs, providing one place for stakeholder engagement, legislative tracking, and grassroots advocacy. Thousands of public affairs professionals use Quorum for their work in Congress, all 50 state legislatures, major U.S. cities, and the European Union. Quorum is 100% bootstrapped, meaning we have never raised venture capital funding, and we work with organizations like Coca-Cola, the United Nations Foundation, Sierra Club, General Motors, Lyft, and the National Restaurant Association.

As the Sales Operations Lead, you will lead efforts to use data to identify opportunities to improve sales efficiency, establish and drive adoption for scalable processes for the entire company, and manage the ongoing reporting on and development of Quorum’s Salesforce.com deployment. This role is a blend of data analysis, technical project management, and Salesforce administration.

About You

  • You’re a highly-motivated self-starter who will contribute to the team from Day One
  • You have honed the ability to perform data analyses, then convert your findings into simple data visualizations that clearly explain the opportunity or problem identified
  • You have experience identifying a problem, developing several proposed solutions, working with stakeholders across multiple departments to build consensus around the best solution, and owning the execution of that solution
  • You have professional experience working with Salesforce and have likely earned your Salesforce administrator certification
  • You’re comfortable working independently to assess the downstream and upstream impacts of a Salesforce.com request
  • You’re equally comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders to scope and execute upon large-scale sales/post-sales process improvement projects
  • You consistently make decisions by evaluating what strategies will align with long term business objectives
  • You enjoy building Gantt charts and can’t wait to dig in and manage complex projects
  • You are able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from underlying company needs
  • You care deeply about assessing and maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • You’re an engaged learner—you are eager to expand your skills, get your hands dirty, and find solutions to challenging problems that require tradeoffs

What You'll Do:

  • First week: You'll learn the ins and outs of Quorum’s Salesforce instance and begin to evaluate where sales and post-sales workflows should be optimized (e.g., we should modify bulk upload and export processes to preserve quality data)
  • First month:You'll work with necessary stakeholders to build out a plan to automate and streamline Quorum’s quote-to-cash process. You’ll also coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of all new Salesforce development requests and infrastructure changes (e.g., adding a renewal pipeline, products, contracts).
  • First 6 months: You'll begin leading weekly and monthly meetings on sales trends/performance with sales team members and leaders to highlight areas of strength and weakness. You will also build and update training materials and process documentation for Salesforce users as well as complete regular internal systems audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • First year:You'll serve as the primary systems administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 50+ users, shape company strategy (e.g., we should increase our investment in events because our conversion rate is better for that source), and be a part of building a company from the ground floor

About Us: The Operations Team

  • We pay attention to detail and have pride in the work we do, knowing that our team helps provides peace of mind to clients and team members alike
  • We believe that precedent is not best practice—we are constantly striving to improve our own workflows
  • We have a wide-scope of responsibility, serving as the chief subject matter experts on sales operations, human resources, and finance
  • We're a lean team and each one of us is excited to pitch in wherever we are needed
  • We assume positive intentions and employ our varied professional backgrounds to help one another grow (e.g., 1:1 coaching to transfer skills)
  • We work in a fun environment where we form real friendships with other professionals. Quorum team members have a strong sense of belonging at a growing startup

Our Work Environment

  • We work in a vibrant, sunlit space in our modern, open concept office
  • A weekly food delivery service stocks our fridges with breakfast and lunch foods so team members don’t have to eat out.
  • All team members are given access to our building’s state of the art gym
  • The Quorum team loves to spend time doing fun things outside of the office, which we callQuorum Fun events. Past Quorum Fun events have included apple picking, yoga, and wine tasting
  • Our office building is located in the heart of downtown DC, easily accessible by metro, bus, and rideshares. It is also in close proximity to great restaurants, food trucks, shopping, and popular happy hour spots

Are you interested in learning what it's like to have a real impact at a fast-growing company that is changing the way advocacy works? If so, drop us a line. We'd love to talk to you.
