Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Sales Engineer to join our amazing culture. Position: Sales Engineer

Territory: Greater Memphis, Tennessee Area

Reports to: General Manager

Collaborates With: Provides solutions for Account Executives and Business Development Managers. Also collaborates with Marketing, Digital Transformation, Leveraged Services, \u0026 Vertical Leadership.

Objectives: Align Convergint services to the business objectives as defined by the Account Executive or Business Development Manager during sales cycles. Responsible for all aspects of Convergint services alignment, technology alignment and services delivery (design, implement, service \u0026 manage).

Solution Development: Align Convergint services to the business objectives as defined by the Account Executive or Business Development Manager.


\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Services align to the business objectives and are within Convergint company defined solutions.

\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Needs, timing, and budget parameters are addressed.

\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Close sales to achieve targets.


Proposal Construction Support: Design proposals and quotes in alignment with Smart Sales Method proposal standards.


\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Proposal should describe:

Presenting \u0026 Closing Support: Presenting the services alignment component of the proposal. Assist in negotiations and closing sales.



\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Presenting the solution in customer meetings.

\u0026middot;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Manage and support negotiations regarding project delays, price comparisons and competitor comparisons.


What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

  • Proven experience supporting increased sales through the alignment of best fit solutions during sales cycles. Ideally working for a technology integrator or managed services business model.
  • Strong affinity for problem solving.
  • Desire to learn, understand, and apply solutions to customer challenges.
  • Ability to build customer confidence and cultivate business relationships
  • Proactively support sales \u0026 service opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to business changes with the ability to influence others.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 2+ years sales engineering or equivalent.
