A Security Install Technician installs, programs, tests, and services a variety of systems and equipment which includes security, and life safety.

We seek experienced installers to install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, and life safety. Must be able to read basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as \u0026ldquo;our customer\u0026rsquo;s best service provider\u0026rdquo; at all times.
  • Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope, and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Completes accurate service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Maintaining a high-level of industry knowledge through training and certifications.

What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

  • Exceptional customer focus; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Technical skills and experience related to electronic security and/or other systems interfaced with same.
  • Programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
    Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
  • Ability to travel locally and overnight travel
  • Valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: Trade school, or equivalent experience. Experience servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems, CCTV systems, and intrusion systems. Valid driver\u0027s license required. Local travel to job sites and overnight travel is required.

Preferred Experience: (but not required):\u0026nbsp;

  • CCTV experience: March Networks / Verint.
  • Intrusion and Access Control experience: DMP / Bosch / PACOM / Lenel.\u0026nbsp;
