Security Systems Installation Technician
**Description**
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Security Systems Installation Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will have a strong mechanical skillset for installing, testing/commissioning commercial access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and intercom systems. Familiarity with network configuration is a plus. Experienced in Lenel, Genetec, S2, Software House, Avigilon, AMAG, ExacqVision, Milestone, and similar product lines is a plus. We specialize in installing and servicing large security systems such as: Access Control, IP Video, Perimeter Protection, Intercom, and Visitor Management. **What youll do with Our Training and Your Experience**
+ Performs installation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm systems and other various security related systems.
+ Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs as necessary.
+ Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality.
+ Perform computer programming as required to add access control readers, cameras, and intrusion devices to systems as needed.
+ Prepare close-out documentation including as-built floor plan mark ups and wire termination programming sheets.
+ Responsible for reading and understanding technical drawings, assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work and determine if additional information is needed.
+ Provide ability to install, troubleshoot and program a variety of security systems.
**What Youll Need**
+ Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
+ Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
+ Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
+ To be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
+ Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
+ A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel may be required.

**Requirements:**
Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience: (but not required):
+ 3-5 years relevant field service
+ Certifications: DMP, Bosch, Verint, Lenel, S2, Software House, Genetec, Milestone
