We take great pride in protecting the lives and assets of our customers and their communities with the solutions we provide. **What Youll Do** + Works closely with the Project Manager and Senior Specialists and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects and services; leads on-site installation teams, makes recommendations regarding the quality of work and potential changes in scope, and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction. + Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of IP based security systems and equipment including access control, video, intercoms, and burglar. The colleague is a key interface for technical support and training of the customer. + Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures; Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. + Operates systems to demonstrate functionality, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions. + Acts as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer's first choice for service. Takes ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance. + Consults with technical support to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work. + Performs all work in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures. Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. **What Youll Need** + Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted. + Our technical needs include people trained (or experienced) in electronics and low voltage systems, with mechanical skills for installing, terminating and programming panels and devices. + Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision. + Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper). + Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Minimal overnight travel is required.
