- Responds to routine and complex service calls and scheduled maintenance calls, including emergency and afterhours service calls on a timely basis; will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug systems.
- May perform simple installs, including programming and testing a variety of systems and equipment including access control, video, intercoms, and burglar. The colleague is a key interface for technical support and training of the customer.
- Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Analyzes repair requirements and provide customer with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
- Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
- Provides technical support to end users and field labor when applicable. Proactively seeks technical guidance from more experience staff for difficult and unusual situations.
- Keeps up to date and informed on industry products, services, and policies.
- Always presents a professional image of Convergint Technologies in appearance and behavior; seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.
- Executes all service calls in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations, as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for service needs after hours and weekends.
- Trained and experienced in any of the following products: CCure, Exacq, Lenel, Genetec.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
