Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven Security Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will be performing service \u0026 repairs of systems, \u0026 small retrofits in assigned buildings. You will identify and report any problems or deficiencies found in the systems you inspect. You will ensure complete customer satisfaction with all inspections under your direction. This is a customer-facing role, one that is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. As a Security Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

The key candidate should be able to service, program and tests a variety of systems and equipment including access control, video, intercoms, and burglar. The colleague is a key interface for technical support and training of the customer.

Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures; Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.

Operates systems to demonstrate functionality, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.

Acts as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer\u0027s first choice for service. Takes ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.

Consults with technical support to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.

Performs all work in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures. Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding the quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

  • Test, inspect, and service commercial fire-alarm systems within assigned buildings.
  • Ensure required testing equipment and materials are on site for effective and safe testing and inspection process.
  • Identify and report problems or discrepancies found in the systems you inspect.
  • Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
  • Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed.
  • Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site.
  • Provide instruction to customer personnel regarding proper system operation and routine inspections.
  • Interact with building owner or building engineer prior to, during, and following completion of the testing process.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with all inspections and testing.
  • Review reports and initiate next steps as necessary.
  • Follow all local, corporate, and OSHA safety procedures and policies.
  • Complete assigned training and certification within time frames required for the position.
  • Main train or assist less experienced colleagues on the job.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

  • A valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.
