The Operations Technology Infrastructure team is looking for an analytical, driven leader to serve as a Senior Manager of IT Deployment Management, Worldwide for our rapidly growing global IT infrastructure needs. This role can sit in Seattle, Washington, Austin, Texas, or Nashville, Tennessee. This leader will support and own the IT delivery of one of the largest robotics fulfillment Centers Amazon Air hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) which will serve as a hub for Amazon Air customer fulfillment. We are looking for a Senior Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to provide leadership, coordination and management.

One of our latest ventures in innovation is the creation of IT Deployment group. The primary objective of this group is to support the growth of worldwide IT by building a global and scalable platform that includes standard tools and processes. The objective of this role is to lead a team within the IT Deployment group and to develop and implement standardized tools and processes that set standards for how projects are run. This role will also ensure project management standards are followed, gather project data and production of information for management review, provide a source of guidance and advice for project managers, and manage and facilitate the portfolio management process.


In addition to having previously led and/or built a Program Management organization, the ideal candidate should have strong IT Infrastructure skills, will be a creative and analytical leader ready to contribute non-traditional ideas that will automate and increase efficiency in deploying new network infrastructure, product and services globally. They will interact at all levels, requiring strong communication skills plus the ability to influence and convey complex issues using learning solutions and will have experience to design innovative and scalable global Kaizen programs for a broad range of applications. The ideal candidate will have the experience to influence and support the global operations community and to work with broad stakeholder groups from across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities include:


· Lead and deliver one of the largest site IT infrastructure deployments
· Ability to manage/lead program management and technical teams.
· Work with program managers, business leaders and Executive team to drive critical business initiatives
· Develop, implement and govern KPIs reporting for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects
· Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization€™s project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices
· Oversee the development, implementation, and training of program/project management tools and processes
· Proven ability to build relationships and manage cross-functional teams
· Ability to work with and influence technical and non-technical cross functional team to produce results
· Experience using PMI methodology to develop scope documents, project management plans, communication plans, project schedules, change management and risk and issue logs
· Drive implementation and execution of stage gate process at organization level and work with different parts of the organization for their individual stage gate process as they evolve
· Lead design and development of strategic PMO related processes to bring together Real Estate, Operations, Engineering, ACES, etc.
· Develop, implement and govern KPIs reporting for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects
· Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization€™s project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices
· Oversee the development, implementation, and training of program/project management tools and processes
· Develop and implement standard project management and construction management processes and methodology to be utilized by the engineers and project managers in all Worldwide regions including project planning, status reporting, budget tracking, schedule tracking, open issue resolution, system acceptance, and project closeout
· Gather and analyze data across business functions to establish Worldwide standards for project management status reporting and tracking
· Provide oversight and guidance to cross-functional project teams, planning and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes
· Support global project teams on as as-needed basis to improve our standard processes, provide project intervention and coaching, etc.
· Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Basic Qualifications
· BA/BS degree from accredited university in Information Technology or equivalent Amazon experience
· 7+ years of leadership experience in IT Infrastructure deployment and facilitation of large cross-functional teams
· 7+ years of direct leader of leaders management experience.
· Deep understanding of large, complex and globally distributed IT Infrastructure systems
· Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Visio
· Experience implementing an IT PMO, skilled in PMO Management tools
· Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMM, Six Sigma and iterative methodologies (such as Agile)
· The ability to travel 25% a month

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
· Technical (Math, Engineering, Science, Business) Master€™s Degree from an accredited university
· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
· Global IT Infrastructure management and deployment experience a plus
· Experience working in Global team environment with multiple time zones
· Experience with IT organization design and management techniques (ITIL, ITSM)
· Exceptional organizational, planning and prioritization skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
