Our Greenville, SC office has the opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) to join the Firm’s expanding practice. The Senior Manager PMO reports to the Director of Infrastructure & Real Estate and is responsible for management and execution of key initiatives and special projects at the Firm, while proposing and enhancing the maturity of the PMO to add demonstrable value to the Firm. The Senior Manager PMO should be extremely adept with project management philosophies, principles, methods and tools. The Senior Manager PMO will manage, mentor, and guide project managers and coordinators. The Senior Manager PMO will work closely with and support project sponsors and owners across the Firm, as well as with the finance team and other internal departments. The Senior Manager PMO will manage the development and maintenance of the annual project plan, and provide senior management with project-related financial data and other key performance indicators.



  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or in a related area with 6+ years of direct project management experience in a professional services organization.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Document Management Systems.

  • Experience with at least one Project Management software and other related digital tools.

  • Broad experience with Project and Program Management concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Project administration and management experience required.

  • Proven ability to develop business case logic to convey project objectives, costs, and risks.

  • Track record of developing realistic project plans and executing projects to meet business objectives within time and budget parameters.

  • Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking and presentation skills.

  • Strong judgment and ability to make well-reasoned independent data driven decisions.

  • Self-motivated and independent; able to work with minimal supervision; seeking input from the Director as appropriate.

  • Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus across departments and to influence others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; strong reporting and data analyses skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, with extremely good project management skills.

  • Strong client service orientation.

Essential Functions:




  • Manage the annual project portfolio budgeting process and regular reporting on project and portfolio performance.
  • Manage a team of project managers to effectively and efficiently add strategic value to Firm projects.
  • Effectively apply project management methodology to minimize exposure and risks to projects, while maximizing the return on firm investment.
  • Develop project plans and create a framework for consistent project execution.
  • Develop business case logic for new projects and potential projects, to describe value relative to costs and enable management decision making.
  • Manage project teams in defining project scope, goals and deliverables that meet the business needs of the Firm and our clients.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including identifying required resources to ensure delivery and stakeholders who should be engaged for input.
  • Proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans, as needed.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Partner with the Firm’s Directors including but not limited to Billing and Revenue Services, Accounting, IT, HR, Operations, Knowledge Management, and Client Service departments.
  • Develop and conduct training on project management processes and digital project management tools for firm employees.
  • Promote greater transparency, predictability, and accountability for all projects across the firm.
  • Develop training and tools, and think strategically about ways to further the dissemination of portfolio management as a best practice.
