Location: Required work location for this position is in the state of Texas (Austin or DFW Region preferred).

Position Summary: The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute (Meadows Institute) seeks an organized professional and self-starter to serve as Senior Project Manager in the Communications team. This person will support the Institute’s public engagement opportunities.

The Senior Project Manager will be expected to work collaboratively with Institute colleagues, contractors, external agencies, and stakeholders to organize, plan, and track communications initiatives and ensure consistency, integrity, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and timely delivery.

Initially, this position will work with the Chief Communications Officer and focus exclusively on the management of a recent $1 million multi-partner federal award. The Project Manager’s portfolio will expand to other projects once this initiative is sufficiently underway and the position will support the larger Communications Team.

This is a remote, full-time position. Required work location for this position is in the state of Texas (Austin or DFW Region preferred). Statewide travel (up to 10%) may be required. Some duties may require access to reliable personal transportation.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans;
  • Manage project timelines across staff, partners, and agency teams to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Help identify and accomplish success metrics for multiple projects. Assist teams in data collection and management;
  • Manage resources and track project costs;
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis, flag concerns, communicate when adjustments are needed, and ensure problems are addressed;
  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes, facilitate adherence to them, and clearly communicate about them;
  • Establish and evaluate areas to increase team efficiency;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field;
  • At least three years of project management experience – preferably with project management experience in communications, marketing fields, or advertising;
  • Demonstrable and successful experience in building relationships with partners and stakeholders;
  • Successful track record of coordinating cross-functional team members;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent project management execution and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
  • Familiarity with project management software tools and best practices;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues. This includes overcoming geographic and other potential barriers to communicating with and making contributions to the team’s work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification or equivalent expertise level with formal methods of project organization and execution;
  • Project management experience with campaigns and initiatives designed to reach, inform, and engage the public or specific audiences;
  • Familiarity with the mental health policy profession is a plus, but is not a requirement;
  • Experience measuring and tracking marketing analytics.

Eligibility Requirements:

This is a remote, full-time position. Required work location for this position is in Texas (Austin or the DFW Region preferred). Relocation assistance not available. Successful candidates must show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
