We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager - SAP-ADM, with specific knowledge in SAP ECC / BW / Portal, and working expertise in NetWeaver architecture, for 24 months in Perth.

Added exposure to manage custom Non-SAP Industry specific applications will be essential. The role demands strong SAP techno-functional understanding along with deep integration experience. Solid understanding of BW/BI/BO Analytics is a must for this role.

You will be responsible for leading a large application support and development team responsible for supporting the full application life cycle of Oil & Gas industry specific applications, SAP ECC, Portal, BI, Process Orchestration GRC etc including preventive and proactive maintenance, enhancement of application capabilities in line with business requirements.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager IT applications role include
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in the client organisation including CxO of the relevant organisations
  • Thorough understanding of current and future IT application landscape (SAP & non-SAP)
  • Solid understanding of ITIL V4 requirements and how the same has been / need to be mapped in the client organisational processes
  • Continuously review systems and processes for improvements, preparing the necessary documentation for changes and managing their implementation
  • Manage regular checks on system components for errors, takes corrective actions, and escalate complex problems to the next level
  • Implement and adhere to standards, ensuring all documentation is maintained or developed where necessary
  • Be on top of incident and service request management for the client organisation and conduct frequent process reviews to drive increasing effectiveness in the service delivery workflow and continuous improvements
  • Manage and oversee problem management to drive performance excellence based on business defined priorities
  • Being on the ground during major incident management and work closely with the client till the resolution
  • Manage customer escalations and be IBM's point of contact for all escalations. Send periodic updates back to the customer and IBM leadership on 24 hr basis during critical incident management phase
  • Manage and oversee all Service delivery reports to an agreed schedule (or on request), including management and KPI performance reports to IT Management and identify continuous improvement & innovation items
  • Provide executive level visibility to operational performance, incident and outage, resources assigned, project activity, service level and if necessary, budgets/cost details
To ensure success in this role you will possess
  • Demonstrate deep industry understanding and knowledge in relevant application areas, especially in Oil & Gas domain
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP functional & technical domains related development and maintenance
  • Management of and exposure to specialized Oil and Gas specific operational applications like StarLIMS, Tieto, Meridian, OSI-PI (Plant Historian), PTW, ENGICA is necessary
  • Hands-on understanding of SAP Solution Manager and CHARM process
  • Deep understanding of DS&P provisions in a managed service delivery model
  • SOX reporting requirements for IT applications
  • Experience / understanding of SAP mobile offerings & solution architecture
  • Understanding of application operations on a virtualised environment
  • Relevant experience in managing IT delivery for non-SAP technologies like Microsoft / Oracle / Java technologies will be essential
  • Deep understanding of managing complex SAP landscape with integration to legacy systems, hybrid cloud systems and corresponding promote-to-production strategy
  • Experience of handling large teams of varied skillsets across geographies and time zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working with product vendors (ISVs)
  • Expert in handling various tools like MS-office, MS-Project, automation tools etc.
  • Proven track record in end to end development of automation use cases, from conceptualization to deployment
