Senior Revenue Accountant
Position Summary: \u0026nbsp;This position is responsible for revenue accounting for the global organization.\u0026nbsp; The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 on a global basis, with a strong focus on the US.\u0026nbsp; Responsibilities will include reviewing customer contracts and working with our legal and field teams, as necessary. \u0026nbsp;
Job Responsibilities:\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;
- Be the subject matter expert on revenue related accounting, process, and policy including application of construction industry accounting for POC (percent complete) under ASC 606.
- Collaborate with our business leaders, legal and accounting management to provide revenue recognition compliant solutions, including contract reviews and complex sales contracts.
- Support sales commissions accounting.
- Prepare and maintain revenue records, monthly close activities, and variance analysis. Responsible for the accounting close entries including revenue recognition, sales commission expense, accounts receivable and over/under billings for POC accounting.
- Identify and articulate complex revenue accounting issues clearly and concisely and prepare revenue recognition documentation for external auditor review
- Support the annual audit and activities with external auditors, as needed
Job Skills Requirements:\u0026nbsp;
- Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP, including recently issued accounting pronouncements, with special knowledge of ASC 606, Revenue Recognition and Construction Accounting Percent Complete
- Must be comfortable and confident navigating through new and complex matters
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and technical yet flexible, self-motivated, and big-picture minded
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data
- Proven ability to work cross functionally and proactively identify accounting issues, research applicable guidance and document accounting conclusions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; including ability to independently analyze transactions and contracts and document the related accounting analysis under GAAP
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor\u0026rsquo;s degree in Accounting
\u0026nbsp;Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of previous accounting experience preferably with \u0026ldquo;Big 4\u0026rdquo; accounting experience
- Large corporate accounting experience, preferred
