This position is responsible for invoices and ensuring all vendors are paid according to contract schedules. This also includes working closely with the business to ensure the company is getting charged appropriately according to the contract. The Senior Financial Analyst will also work with Finance to ensure monthly reconciliation is accurate. Performs analysis to identify errors and opportunities cost savings/avoidance for services. Works directly with management and suppliers to resolve billing problems and misapplied payments. Develops annual budget and performs monthly financial review to support the financial process.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor OnboardingOversees and acts as subject matter expert on vendor management and third-party risk management policies, procedures, and standards. Provides suggestions for continuous improvement that will drive change at a departmental level in vendor onboarding and oversight methodologies. Acts as the subject matter expert for the department on vendor management and third-party risk management policies, procedures, and standards. Utilize expertise to address ever-changing business needs.
  • Contract ManagementManages multi-million dollar vendor contracts. Ensures DFS is receiving maximum value for its contract investments by identifying solutions and areas of opportunity to streamline services. Works closely with business to identify priorities, provide status, and act as subject matter expert on contracts/vendor services in order to leverage relationships and knowledge to suggest options for new and/or improved services (e.g., SLAs) as well as provide opportunities for department to expand its services.
  • Vendor GovernanceGoverns relationships with vendors. Ensures all processes, procedures, and reporting are implemented and followed. Manages all compliance requirements as it relates to third-party risk management.
  • Financial ManagementParticipates in annual budget/plan process for some vendors. Develops and implements new strategic enhancements for planning process to improve accuracy of budget and increased efficiency. Identifies data gaps in current reporting and creates more accurate analysis as it relates to financial performance in order to drive improved business results. Evaluates results and provides recommendations to stakeholders on how to control costs and improve efficiencies. Performs monthly forecasting and budget reconciliation and analysis.
  • Invoice ReconciliationEnsures successful preparation, communication, and execution of all tasks for ensuring invoices are accurate and paid on time.
  • Works on invoicing, creating purchase orders, and monthly and yearly reports on budget and spend to the team and senior management for a large number of third-party vendors.
  • Inspects documents, records, disclosures, systems, and reports to verify compliance with vendor management policies.
  • Compiles and maintains necessary documentation, including contracts, insurance certificates, audit reports, etc., from third-party vendors into a database.
  • Conduct and facilitate any research needed for any business, internal requests for audit or compliance or reporting reasons.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supplier Management, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Vendor and/or Contract Management, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Vendor Invoice payment and reconciliation, or related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Vendor Management, Contract Management, Financial Management, Asset Management, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Vendor and/or Contract Management, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Vendor Procurement, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Budgets, or related field
  • Technology Business Management ATUM
