Convergint is looking for an energetic, results-driven, forward-thinking Service Manager to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will provide overall management and leadership to the Austin \u0026 Waco CTC\u0026rsquo;s service sales and operations teams and will be responsible to ensure growth of existing service business and development of new service business while meeting service sales and profitability goals.\u0026nbsp; This is a customer-facing role, responsible for developing and managing staff and operations strategies to improve service delivery and provide additional value to customers.\u0026nbsp; As Service Manager, you will hold a key position within a dynamic team and will be positioned to grow as Convergint grows.

What you\u0026rsquo;ll do with \u0026ldquo;Our Training and Your Experience\u0026rdquo;

  • Manage and Lead the Convergint Austin \u0026 Waco CTC\u0026rsquo;s service business.
  • Develop and implement operations strategies to improve service delivery and provide additional value to customers in a cost-effective manner.
  • Grow existing service business and develop new service business involving multiple low-voltage systems (fire alarm, security, communications, and audio-visual, and other systems).
  • Manage the higher level of complexity of service involving multiple low-voltage systems.
  • Prosecute existing and new service contracts, including initial contract review, control of estimated and actual costs to ensure financial performance within budget, planning and scheduling of service work, supervision of service labor, selection and supervision of subcontractors, preparation of service invoices, and collections.
  • In collaboration with Sales, ensure timely service contract renewal process.
  • Assist the sales team in support of goal achievement. Coach, counsel, and train the sales force to improve individual selling skills.
  • Manage job site services, including estimating, competitive pricing, quoting, order processing, payroll processing, service billings, and collections, to ensure achievement of revenue and margin goals.
  • Manage service business financials for the purposes of budgeting, forecasting, and delivering actual versus estimated cost reports.
  • Resolve customer problems that escalate beyond the Supervisor level. Proactively communicate with customers, through the Customer Survey process and otherwise, to obtain the customer feedback necessary to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate goals to the service team and communicate with the wider organization as necessary.
  • Act as \u0026ldquo;our customer\u0026rsquo;s best service provider at all times,\u0026rdquo; ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer\u0026rsquo;s first choice for service.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.


What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

  • Five years of service management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
  • Customer focus \u0026ndash; maintains awareness of and seeks to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation.
  • Team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
  • Initiative \u0026ndash; engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities.
  • Adaptability \u0026ndash; responds effectively to changes in situation or information; ability to influence others and build consensus using strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions, solid conflict resolution skills.
  • Financial analytical skills, including cost control.
  • Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point skills.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles.
  • A valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license.

Education: Associates degree in Business or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience: Five years of previous service management experience.

Preferred Experience (but not required):\u0026nbsp;

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronics, fire alarm \u0026 life safety, and/or building automation.
  • Previous leadership experience.
