1.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Responds to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis; will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug a variety of systems for more complicated problems; installs projects as necessary.

2.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Identifies and resolves problems for most types of service calls including emergency calls; analyzes repair requirements and provides customers with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.\u0026nbsp; May require originality and ingenuity in some situations.

3.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint in a timely manner to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.

4.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Acts as \u0026ldquo;our customer\u0026rsquo;s best service provider\u0026rdquo; at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer\u0026rsquo;s first choice for service.

5.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.\u0026nbsp; May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.

6.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Executes all service calls in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.\u0026nbsp; Uses well-developed troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

7.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Provides technical support to end-users and field labor when applicable.\u0026nbsp; Seeks technical guidance from more experienced staff for difficult and unusual situations.

8.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Using technical knowledge, skills and experience, may act as a mentor for less experienced staff.\u0026nbsp; May supervise workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.

9.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Keeps up to date and informed on all company products, services and policies.

10.\u0026nbsp; Presents a professional image of Convergint Technologies at all times in appearance and behavior and seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.

11.\u0026nbsp; Communicates with and work with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Technology Center, and company.

12.\u0026nbsp; Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Job Skills Requirements:\u0026nbsp;

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
  • Solid technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
  • Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with general supervision
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
  • Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Minimal overnight travel is required. Valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license required.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
  • Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Education Requirements:

  • Associate\u0026rsquo;s degree in Electronics preferred
  • Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician)

\u0026nbsp;

Certifications \u0026 Licenses:\u0026nbsp; Product-specific certifications required; applicable state and/or local required industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; must have valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.

\u0026nbsp;

Protective Clothing Required:\u0026nbsp;

The position may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes or work boots, etc.

Physical Demands:\u0026nbsp;

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls.\u0026nbsp; On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.\u0026nbsp; Position may also require work in confined spaces and exposure to different types of outdoor weather conditions.\u0026nbsp; Risk of electrical shock and/or general hazards found in a construction environment are present.

The colleague must frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.\u0026nbsp; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
