Alden is in search for a Software Implementation Project Manager to join us on our mission to unite utility professionals around their shared interest in assets. Software Implementation Project Manager
This role includes and is responsible for:
o A business minded approach.
o Developing and maintaining a systematic, scalable software implementation strategy.
o Developing detailed work plan (scope, timeline, and milestones) and project schedule for Alden customers.
o Work in a collaborative team environment.
o Create, organize, and maintain project documentation using a variety of platforms and methods.
o Completes projects on time and within budget.
o Prioritize and schedule activities to meet project milestones.
o Primary contact for Alden customers and the implementation team.
o Collaborate with Sales Team to help estimate costs, define scope, and statement of work prior to closing.
o Organize and lead design meetings to define & document configurations and requirements.
o Gather and report project status versus plan/schedule.
o Develop remediation plans to correct project plan deviations.
o Predict, prevent, and address changes in scope & schedule.
o Other duties as assigned.

This role requires strong analytical and technical abilities and demands fast, but carefully thought-out results. Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary. The job centers around developing new ideas, systems, and technology, along with analyzing and improving previous iterations. A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors is important. Work must be done right and quickly, while always focusing on accomplishing the goal and demanding the highest quality work from co-workers
and subordinates. Interest and energy focus is primarily on the work at hand with the ability to limit internal and external distractions. The broad scope of the job demands a factual, direct, and authoritative style of communication. Decision-making, though swift, is very calculated and singular, with little reliance on consensus or collaborating opinions.

Due to the sensitive nature of our utility work, you must:
o Be a U.S. citizen located in the U.S.
o Pass a background check and drug screen
Education and Experience Requirements and Preferences:
o 4-year college degree
o 2-5 years’ work experience (project management preferred)
o PMP, MPM, PPM Certification preferred
o Managing multiple in-flight projects preferred
o Familiarity with critical path management
o Previous work with utility/industrial customers preferred
o Complex/intricate project experience preferred

Ability and willingness to travel is required. Work may be remote, in office (Birmingham, AL), at customer location or combination.
