We are looking for a customer obsessed leader to build and scale a metrics PMT organization, defining top line metrics of success for Personalization and discovery and ensuring that these metrics evolve connecting customer experience, with business impact.

Key job responsibilities
€¢ Help define the mission, vision, and tenets of the PVPD Personalization Metrics organization
€¢ Manage a team of star PM-Ts each focused on a macro output metric for each innovation pillar in PVPD and across pillars
€¢ Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative roadmap for PVPD metrics
€¢ Influence product priorities, features, and engineering process working across multiple teams
€¢ Create launch plans that have clear, measurable success criteria, and clearly communicate progress and outcomes
€¢ Develop mechanisms with stakeholder teams to track, and evolve our metrics adoption and implementation
€¢ Relentlessly simplify and demonstrate significant innovation, creativity, and good judgment when solving challenging problems
€¢ Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
€¢ Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to Directors and VPs
€¢ Help teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood/documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, insufficient testing/gaps in adopting metrics, ill defined leadership goals)

Great team and a chance to hockey-stick the success of Personalization in Prime Video. This role partners with other L7s in PVPD including DS, PMT mgrs., SDMs, Research and Applied Science teams.

As a Sr Manager of PM-Ts, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, build mechanisms, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance customer needs, business imperatives, and technical constraints. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical skills and leadership are essential to succeed in this role.

  • 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • 6+ years of experience managing teams


* Master€™s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline
* Experience in Finance, Metrics development, Media or advertising
* Comfortable with ambiguity and be motivated by a fast-paced, highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
* Fast learner of new technologies
