DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a leader to fill the position of Sr Program Manager for its global portfolio of device and accessories products. This role is part of Worldwide Planning, and is essential to the continued growth of Amazon€™s Devices division as it continues its fast paced growth and expansion of its portfolio of Fire TVs and Alexa branded products.

A day in the life
As the Sr. Program Manager, you develop, iterate and execute resilient processes to help the Global Planning team mitigate impediments to business continuity while collaborating with Tech Teams, Supply Chain, and Product Teams. It requires the ability to leverage a broad cross-functional organization of business teams and management partners. This role is very visible throughout the organization.

About the hiring group
The mission of our Worldwide Planning organization is to deliver the most accurate forecasts, inventory targets and allocation plans to ensure every customer is able to purchase the product they want, when and where they want it. In order to achieve this, our team develops and uses optimization tools, advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms and big data solutions, so we can provide the Device organization with a detailed sales and strategic plan that outlines the opportunities and risks for our customers.

€¢ Conduct effective meetings (business and program reviews) and able to dive deeply into details as easily as convey high-level plans with clear and concise verbal and written communication. Transform raw thoughts into clear documentation and requirements (e.g., project charter, statement of work, responsibility matrix, functional requirements, implementation approach, reporting,

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

€¢ Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
€¢ 5+ years of experience in program or project management
€¢ A Bachelor€™s degree or higher
€¢ Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
€¢ Experience defining and executing against program requirements
€¢ Experience presenting to Senior Management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

€¢ Master of Business Administration
€¢ Minimum 2-4 years of program management experience in multi-organizational initiatives, with a track record of delivering projects with impactful business goals.
€¢ Proficient in handling large datasets and familiarity with Excel, SQL. Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
€¢ Ability to apply Lean, Six Sigma and Process improvement principles to analyze and improve processes and metrics.
€¢ Strong presentation and written communication skills as is the ability to manage effective partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders across a variety of groups throughout Amazon.
