SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager, Programs and Courses supports the Content Department by acting as project manager on various projects including the development and delivery of on-demand, virtual self-paced courses, webinars, NACD Summit sessions, and other programs and courses as assigned. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in project management, has a good working knowledge of corporate governance and board issues, is able to manage multiple customer-facing projects from inception to completion, is comfortable working with both members and internal colleagues at varying levels throughout the organization, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Partners with content leads, marketing, and partner relations to understand needs and prioritize learning deliverables; prioritization for the next 12-months will be on the refresh of Virtual Director Professionalism and mini-courses for each of the three continuous learning cohorts

·        Effectively plan and manage budgets, resources, vendors, and partners to achieve results

·        Works with Associate Director, Curriculum Design, Analyst, On-Demand and Virtual Learning, IT, marketing, and vendors to build and maintain digital learning system for NACD On-Demand

·        Builds detailed project plans for and executes the development of our key 2021 virtual courses, including the refresh of VDP. Coordinates closely with key stakeholders, including external vendors, members, sponsors, and internal stakeholders

·        Research, books, and prepares speakers for topical sessions for both virtual education and brick-and-mortar events, once business travel resumes

·        Serves as content lead for live events (as assigned), managing the selection of speakers, developing the agenda, holding planning calls, and working with the NACD technical and logistics team to determine audio visual needs

·        Collaborates with external partners and subject-matter experts to develop session materials

  • Develops presentation materials for NACD events, often working closely with event speakers
  • Keeps speakers informed and supported throughout event planning process, through to the conclusion of the event, and manages distribution of survey feedback and timely payment of fees
  • Leads content for assigned sessions at the NACD annual Summit and participates in live programming either as a host or in a supporting capacity
  • Writes session descriptions, and assists in providing other written content such as event overviews, learning objectives, scripts, and marketing copy as needed

·        Serves as administrator and makes opening and closing remarks during live events

·        Works with IT and third-party vendors to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot online systems

·        Travels to and attends offsite events as needed/assigned

·        Performs other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in virtual education development or session/ course design. Must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and have basic mastery of HTML. Experience with Salesforce, Nimble, Learn Upon, or similar Learning Management System, Zoom, On24, or similar webinar platform is preferred.

Must display familiarity with content, learning, and customer relationship management systems. Must be a detail-oriented team player with excellent time management and organizational skills, meet deadlines, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and juggle multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Must exhibit exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, and display focused attention to reaching personal and team goals. A positive attitude, professional work ethic, and exceptional customer service skills are critical. Must also be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner and be comfortable with interacting professionally with company board directors, C-suite executives, and other governance experts.
