Are you a Business Intelligence / data visualization specialist and/or expert in Training and Enablement? Do you like to solve the most complex and large-scale data challenges in the world today? Do you want to revolutionize the way people manage, visualize and interact with large amounts of data? Come join us at the Amazon QuickSight team as a Senior Technical Program Manager with a focus on expanding our Training and Certification offerings.
Amazon QuickSight is a fast, easy-to-use, cloud-powered business intelligence service that allows customers to share insights with ALL of their employees without managing any servers or infrastructure. Amazon QuickSight makes it easy for all employees, regardless of their technical skill, to build visualizations, perform ad-hoc analysis, and quickly get insights from their data. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager, who will be our single threaded owner of learning programs that help us build and scale our customer enablement and support mechanisms.
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the team, you will be responsible for owning and delivering various business critical initiatives across the QuickSight service team and global field organization, by collaborating with both internal and external partners and services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Driving the launch of new learning offerings in partnership with our Training and Certification, Global Sales and Specialist Teams, and our AWS Partner Team. You will be expected to work with multiple Product Management, Product Marketing, Solution Architect, Engineering, UX, and Enablement teams within and outside of QuickSight. This is a high visibility and high impact role.
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical and training background in current cloud technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
