Job summary Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Kuiper Solutions Engineering team is a multi-disciplinary technology team involved in developing and delivering targeted and scalable solutions for custom satellite and ground applications. The Solutions Engineering Senior TPM will play a pivotal role in leading innovative and fast-paced programs and interfacing with the entire Kuiper team and partner organizations (including government agencies). The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience driving complex satellite (or other) technology programs. They will have deep technical knowledge in areas like satellite communications and aerospace development. They will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
In this role, the selected candidate will work directly with engineering teams and operational stakeholders to lead the Solutions Engineering satellite and ground programs. They will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills, and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews.
The best candidates will have deep understanding of aerospace/satellite and systems engineering. Candidates with demonstrated experience within deployed satellite telecommunications services will be preferred.

Security Clearance: Candidates must have recent or active US Government security clearance of TS/SCI (with polygraph preferred) and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, so you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with systems, architecture, hardware, software, teams on ensuring cross-functional deliverables are identified and tracked
Collaborate with Kuiper Engineering teams and partner organizations to deliver innovative, fast-paced programs to address customer applications
Drive engineering project execution, develop project plans, make technical trade-offs, manage risks, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues
Work with the leadership team to set the customer strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-deliver
Work closely with partner organizations (including government agencies) to develop work packages and ensure that all teams have what they need to be successful
Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to cost, performance and schedule requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years engineering leadership experience with aerospace or satellite and ground-based development technologies
7+ years of project/program management experience. Experience with schedule tracking tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, and Jira
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field
Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
Track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software, algorithms) on time, to scope, with high quality
High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers, business owners, and senior business leaders
Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to drive complex engineering decisions and ship products
Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-deliver trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical and non-technical team members
Experience demonstrating judgment, and proven ability to lead and influence others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience working with government agencies
