Strategic Account Manager (SAM)

Reports to: Vice President, Global Cloud and Data Centers

Collaborates with: GCDC team, account team(s), CTCs (branches), and other Strategic Initiatives teams

This Business Development Manager is positioned to lead the efforts for this growth across the organization.

You will have strong relationship building skills, business analysis, working knowledge of data center business, and construction environment. You will enjoy a fast-moving pace and stay on top of technology trends, innovations, and developments in the industry.

What you will do with your expertise and our support:

  • Meets or exceeds sales targets for designated customer/s as results
  • Plan for, build, and maintain effective relationships with senior executives, key decision makers, influencers, and technical experts across the client organization
  • Develop and strengthen business relationships with the client\u0026rsquo;s organization
  • Gains clear understanding of customer environments and builds client solutions in which Convergint can enhance and optimize client outcomes
  • Assigns priorities to business opportunities and helps create account plans and sales strategies under direction of Sr. management
  • Exerts strong influence on the customer\u0027s datacenter security strategy and purchasing decisions
  • Works directly and cross-functionally to drive high customer satisfaction among designated accounts
  • Develops new ideas for expanding business relationships in evolving customer environments
  • Ability to work inter-departmentally for deal shaping and creative solutions.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the account team
  • Be a team player, also a team leader, to work closely with the GCDC team, account team(s), CTCs, and other Strategic Initiatives teams across all regions to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction and upsell Convergint\u0026rsquo;s value proposition.
  • Support the development of GCDC vertical effort and advocate and promote the vertical vision, strategy, and the team. \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;
  • Practice, promote and advocate for Convergint\u0026rsquo;s Values \u0026 Beliefs.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Credentials

  • Experience managing and growing strategic accounts in data center, security and/or related technologies/services
  • Adept at creating customer and internal presentations
  • Skilled at proposal creation
  • Proven ability to retain and grow existing accounts while optimizing account outcomes
  • Be a collaborator and a team leader
  • Support the development of GCDC vertical efforts and advocate and promote the vertical vision, strategy, and team\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;
  • Practice, promote and advocate for Convergint\u0026rsquo;s Values \u0026 Beliefs.
