The University of New Mexico's Project ECHO has a unique opportunity for a Strategic Support Manager to join our team to support the Office of the Director. You will have the opportunity to help build the reporting and strategic analysis systems needed for the Director and the executive team to successfully make informed decisions.

As a Strategic Support Manager, you will play a critical role in:

Helping manage a portfolio of special projects as designated, develop project plans, and work with key stakeholders across the institute as well as external stakeholders to complete assigned projects

Deputizing for and/or representing the Chief of Staff

Collaborating with senior management across the institute to understand key strategic priorities, goals and objectives for greater project impact. Facilitating dialogue, discussion, and decision making through efficient meeting management, outreach, strong interpersonal relationships, and follow-up

Working with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership to develop and track key organizational metrics

Working in conjunction with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership to develop strategic objectives and plans for implementation

Building a strong collaborative environment and overseeing each team to compile reports for each of the programs assigned. Help lead work of data entry and systems development internally by overseeing collection, reporting and interpretation of complex data and related information, including statistical values and provides advice and consultation regarding implications.

Ensuring regular reporting for key areas of support to outside funders and key internal constituents. Such reports may include those submitted to the New Mexico legislature and HSC/Government affairs, as well as reporting to Medicaid.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, will be a great writer, with an affinity for project management and careful attention to detail. The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively across teams, will be a good listener and able to function well in a fast paced and complex work environment.

Project ECHO is a telemedicine and distance-learning program with partners all over the world. Work hours outside of normal business hours may be required. We are fortunate to have access to advanced technology, which will require some teleworking.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in health policy, Medicaid, and/or value based purchasing

Experience working with C-suite executives

Experience successfully managing complex projects
