  • Strong organizational and time management skills; excellent communication, editing and writing skills; ability to apply critical thinking to solve complex problems
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated senior-level interpersonal effectiveness, political savviness, and communication skills to interact with all levels of the workforce and write and present program artifacts that are appropriately tailored to meet the information needs of the audience
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills (analysis, judgement, information seeking)
  • Familiarity with content management concepts, methods and CMS Tools
  • Ability to gain elevated system permissions (System Administration)
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be a self-starter; Proven ability to contribute as a team member with larger team environments
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent years of experience) in liberal arts studies, communications, or other associated disciplines

Responsibilities

Responsible for translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

As part of the Sponsor organization, the Systems Integrator (Content Curator) will play an important role in building the value of the Universitys content library as strategic asset. In this role, the Systems Integrator will assist the Sponsor Content Manager in monitoring and guiding learning content development with respect to the achievement of accessibility, currency, relevancy and compliance goals.

The Systems Integrator will work in close coordination with the Sponsors technical, Media and Instructional Design teams and external Learning Enterprise representatives to support project planning, security and maintenance.

The Systems Integrator shall provide technical and integration support for the development, cataloging, governance and evaluation of learning content (includes course content, readings, videos, exercises and games) developed by the Sponsor organizations. Within the scope of this position, content shall include all internally-developed products and those procured as commercial-off-the-shelf products (e.g. web based training products and materials). Learning content will typically be uploaded to the Sponsors Content Management System and to Sponsors web sites. Learning content shall include text, images and graphics, videos, surveys, games, links and other training materials. Commercial training course content shall include commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) web based training courses. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the development of content management requirements, catalog ontologies, governance polices and business processes to promote efficient management of content resources
  • Acquire/develop and/or upload content to Sponsors web sites and content management systems (e.g. web portals and learning management systems); develop and apply catalog organization and tagging schemes to improve management efficiency and facilitate user discovery.
  • Assist in periodic review and evaluation of Sponsors content to ensure accessibility compliance, and recommend new acquisitions to ensure continued achievement of learning goals.
  • Support the design, provisioning, and update of the Sponsors web sites as required with text, graphical, video, and other content types
