Technical Project Manager

The Engineering team is rapidly expanding and we are in need of a technical project manager to lead the management of the different cross-functional projects in the team.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management and has managed large multidisciplinary projects in the past.

You are passionate about building a great quality product by following the industry’s best practices, design principles and development processes. You also enjoy working with people in a highly driven team. The role will include working with the team leads of the 3 subteams, managing the interdependencies between the teams and ensuring that the projects are completed within time and budget. The ideal candidate is technical, highly organized, eager to minimize risk and maximize communication / knowledge-transfer between the subteams.

Main Tasks:

  • Manage the formulation and ongoing tracking of each project in the mechatronics division

  • Manage the documentation, project tracking, risk management and interdependencies between the subteams involved in the project

  • Create and maintain project risk register

  • Work with multi-functional team to develop a project schedule with accurate resource demand estimates

  • Communicate and manage critical milestones and timelines to the sub-teams

  • Communicate the status of the projects with the other interested parties such as manufacturing, service, software, sales and executive management teams

  • Handle conflicts in a professional and effective way

  • Influence and motivate team through challenges

  • Make judgement of when to escalate issues and to the right level

  • Contribute to PMO structure and process improvements


  • BSc. or College degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a technical project management role

  • Experience working in project management for multidisciplinary technical projects (mechanical, electrical, low-level software)

  • Minimum of 8 years in project management role mainly in product development projects with multi-functions engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software,...etc.)

  • Past experience in product development as design engineer

  • PMP or Prince2 Practitioner certified or actively working towards getting certified

  • Skilled in MS Project

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people
