The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), a six-time National Recreational and Parks Association Gold Medal Award Winner is seeking a Technology Project Manager to work at the Montgomery County Department of Parks, Silver Spring, Maryland. We have a career staff complement of nearly 800 employees, and we serve a diverse population of more than one million residents. We manage 421 parks on nearly 37,000 acres of parkland and we are fiscally sound with an annual operating budget of over $100 million, and a six-year Capital Improvement Program of over $220 million.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated Project Management Professional. The ideal candidate can consistently deliver results in a timely and professional manner and is highly skilled at collaborating and communicating with internal and external customers.

The Technology Project Manager is directly responsible for the overall management, administration and coordination of automating departmental workflows in the Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. This position will deliver every project on time and within budget and scope. The successful candidate should have a background in technology, business management, and analysis.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT DUTIES:

Coordinate efforts to link the EAM system to existing databases and prioritize system integrations
Configure the EAM mobile application for a better user experience
Implement the EAM Document Management Module to allow easier access to park asset documents (Memo of Understanding, Leases, As-Builts, Maintenance Manuals)
Develop criteria to identify business processes that will benefit from the system
Create a business plan template for each EAM project that includes the purpose, timeline, efficiencies, tools and stakeholders
Ensure staff have the necessary technology to get their work done in EAM by creating a decision-making document that will identify appropriate hardware and software needed for each end-user group
Design, implement, and document EAM system procedures to ensure data integrity
Provide technical expertise in implementation and maintenance of database design
Develop and implement strategies for EAM data management and distribution

Preferred Education and Experience: A minimum of three years' experience in project management; familiarity with Infor EAM or other EAM systems; PMP Certification; advanced time management and analytical skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desirable Skills: SQL Programming Language; Cognos Analytics; An understanding of GIS

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field;

2. Four years of experience in applications support and development; a master's degree in computer science or closely related field can be substituted for two years of experience.

3. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

4. Special Requirements: Programming languages and hardware experience. See appendix for Current Industry Standards.
