Retirement

Paid Time Off

  • Vacation – 22 paid days off per year
  • Sick – 15 paid days off per year
  • Holiday – 10 paid holidays per year
  • *Vacation/sick leave can be rolled over from year to year up to accrual max (Vacation – up to 44 days, sick leave – no accrual max) and unused vacation is paid out up to accrual max upon separation from employment

Parental Leave

CU Boulder’s policy on paid parental leave grants eligible regular employees―including university staff, research faculty and some non-tenure track nine-month faculty―240 hours (six weeks) of paid parental leave, to be utilized within one year of a birth, adoption or foster placement. The new paid leave benefit exists as an extension to the current benefit of unpaid leave under the Family Medical Leave Act, running concurrently.

Medical Benefits – including health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short-term and long-term disability.

Medical plan costs for Employee + Children: 

 

  • Exclusive Plan (HMO administered by Anthem BC/BS w/ $750 deductible for family) – Premium cost is $114.50/month
  • Extended Plan (PPO administered by Anthem BC/BS with $1500 deductible for family) -- Premium cost is $145.00/month
  • High Deductible (PPO High-Deductible administered by Anthem BC/BS w/$3000 deductible for family) -- Premium cost is $14.00/month.
  • Kaiser (EPO administered by Kaiser Permanente, no deductible) -- Premium cost is $188.50/month.
