Nexben is looking for a highly cross-functional role that requires a strategic thinker that can work tactically across all areas of the organization. Individuals must thrive on delivering value and seeing opportunities where others see challenges. Successful candidates must have a proven track record for creating a strong PMO competency and repeatable program and project management processes that are measurable and data-driven.
The vice president of strategic initiatives will work directly with the chief transformation officer to help build an internal strategic consulting and project management function. The role works on a variety of projects to drive Nexben’s continued revenue growth, gross margin, and shareholder value. This role will be responsible for assisting and coordinating projects end-to-end as well as managing staff within the project management department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, internal business performance, and business process improvements
Assist in the establishment of priorities, inclusive of responsibilities, timelines, and expected value
Assist leadership team in driving clarity, measurements, and strategies to support growth initiatives and create needed efficiencies to increase Nexben’s revenues and drive-up margin.
Assist with defining the project scope, measurements for success, and deliverables.
Attract, coach, develop and manage exceptional problem solvers to serve as internal consultancy and solution providers for the business
Design and develop project management best practices, processes, and policies to ensure that it aligns with Nexben’s corporate goals and strategies
Effectively drive strategic initiatives and support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
Ensure consistent engagement with business leaders and team to ensure timelines and deliverables are achieved
Maintain a roster of potential projects and evaluate relative effort/value to the organization
Oversee the Project Management department including budgets and forecasts, talent management, and project road mapping.
Present project outcomes, and any necessary challenges or concern areas, to leadership on an on-going basis.
Proactively manage expectations of all interested parties by defining clear project roadmaps, providing frequent project updates, identifying, and communicating risks & adjustments
Proactively manage the portfolio of Nexben enterprise projects.
Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a company experiencing rapid growth
Regularly provide analysis and identify areas of strength & opportunity; as well as manage change when required to meet project deliverables.
Serve as a facilitator, coach, and collaborator with project leads, management, and business unit stakeholders regarding change management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent education/work experience preferred
Five or more years in project, change management, or consulting roles
Practical experience with various project management tools and techniques. Knowledge of advanced project management methodologies a plus
Three years of managing people
Experience working in tech-industry or start-up environments
Familiarity with financial services products and systems preferred
PMP certification strongly preferred
