The entry level Project Manger for the Chief Health Office will provide concrete support to the Chief Health Officer, the Chief of Staff, as well as the broader Chief Health Office team in the functions of sales, external speaking engagements, product innovation and data & evidence generation efforts by scheduling meetings, planning agendas, creating slide decks, capturing minutes, tracking and closing action items, and progressing objectives as necessary. The Project Manager would also serve as a key point of contact for on-site logistics planning and support for the Chief Health Office. He/She will work closely in collaboration with and under the guidance of more senior project and program managers within the group, requiring the ability to work extremely well in teams with excellent people skills. While not required, this role would benefit from having an educational background in a health-related field as well as a passion for and basic understanding of the healthcare ecosystem. He/she will be required to excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
  • Support CHO priorities as directed by the Chief Health Officer and the Chief of Staff
  • Ensure meetings with key stakeholders pre- and post- client visits are executed and supported as necessary
  • Support the Chief of Staff in procurement processes as necessary, for contracting with external SMEs and for paid/sponsored research and ensure accurate reporting and SOW delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with internal Watson Health stakeholders and external clients
  • Produce clear, concise, accurate written communication, clearly conveying ideas to peers, management, and customers
  • Adapt to a flexible work environment including, but not limited to, out of town travel as required to meet business commitments and working overtime, handling multiple tasks concurrently, and easily adapting to new assignments
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned or as desired in areas of interest across the CHO
  • Acquire, maintain, and share knowledge and expertise on the science of health, the US healthcare system, and global health.
  • Understand and communicate key business initiatives and outcomes to both internal/external stakeholders

  • Assigned to several named new business opportunities and supports the execution of key client meetings with Chief Health Office team members, internal, and external stakeholders.

  • Applies creativity and problem-solving skills to identify and articulate business opportunities.
  • Analyzes and align efforts to Watson Health objectives.
  • Vet and prioritize business/relationship opportunities and develop strategy/processes to systematically do so.
Contribution/Leadership:
  • Supports clinical and health system leaders/teams across pillars, including internal and external medical/health advisory groups.
  • Aids marketplace alignment and validation for Chief Health Office efforts, especially from the perspective of clinical, population health and health system leaders/teams.
  • Supports development and execution of corporate citizenship in health and potential business development opportunities arising from efforts.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Good and proven Project Management skills, including excellent multitasking and communication skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting and working against tight deadlines
  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects
  • Drive, define and expand project scopes
  • Build high stature in front of a client including the ability to manage client expectations in line with project scope


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Exposure to Key Opinion Leader programs or services
