Working Project Controls Manager

Working Project Controls Manager performs project controls effort on projects of all sizes and delivery methods, develops project controls staff, and collaborates in the development and execution of the Project Controls Plan across the division.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project controls tasks on large complex projects including developing, monitoring, and maintaining budget management, expenditure tracking, forecasts, change management, and variance analysis for multi-disciplinary projects of various delivery methods
• Develop, update, and report on various metrics including earned value management, key performance indicators, and variances between forecasts and actuals
• Conduct interactive planning meetings and program/project status briefings for internal and external representatives
• Evaluate contract requirements, identify risk areas, and recommend mitigation plans
• Oversee and perform quality control review of deliverables such as progress reports, cost tracking reports, invoicing, and fee estimates
• Understand risks and key elements of various contract types, billing terms, and delivery methods
• Oversee document control systems on projects
• Participate in implementing strategic initiatives
• Create, implement, and execute project controls plan to support contract requirements and the successful execution of project controls
• Promote project controls best practices, coordinate and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate work of three or more project controls staff

• 14 + years
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• High proficiency in Excel: VLOOKUP, PIVOT tables, and graphing
• Deltek Vision experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of accounting/financial principles and practices
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or P6
• PMP or AACE Certification
